Who was Hannah?

Hannah is a woman in the Bible, best known as the mother of Samuel, one of the most important prophets in Jewish history. She was a woman of great piety and faith, who longed for a child of her own but was unable to conceive. After many years of prayers, Hannah finally had a son, Samuel, and she dedicated him to the service of God from a young age.
