Hebron was a biblical figure who was the son of Kohath and grandson of Levi. He was the father of four sons: Korah, Tappuah, Rekem, and Shema. He is best known for being one of the cities of refuge, as described in the Book of Joshua. Hebron was a major city in the ancient kingdom of Judah and was the site of the first Jewish settlement in the region. It was also the site of the burial of the Patriarchs, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
