The story of Jezebel

Jezebel was the wife of King Ahab of Israel, according to the Hebrew Bible. She was a Phoenician princess and was known for her strong devotion to the Phoenician god Baal and her opposition to the worship of the God of Israel. She is often depicted as a wicked queen who used her influence to promote idolatry and wickedness in the kingdom of Israel. Jezebel is also remembered for her persecution of the prophet Elijah and her attempts to eliminate the worship of Yahweh. According to the Bible, Jezebel was ultimately thrown from a window and eaten by dogs, as prophesied by Elijah.
