Mesha is also known for his dedication to his god, Chemosh. He built a temple to Chemosh and made offerings to him. He also erected a stele, or stone monument, to commemorate his victory over the Israelites. This stele is known as the Mesha Stele and is one of the most important archaeological finds in the Middle East. Mesha is remembered as a brave leader who fought for his people and their freedom.
