Uzziel was a biblical figure from the Old Testament. He was the son of Kohath, a son of Levi, and the brother of Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Mishael. Uzziel was a Levite, and he was the father of Mishael, Elzaphan, and Sithri. He was a leader of the Kohathites, a group of Levites who were responsible for carrying the Ark of the Covenant. Uzziel is best known for his role in the construction of the Tabernacle, the portable temple of the Israelites. He was responsible for making the holy vessels and the curtains of the Tabernacle. He also made the garments for the priests and the ephod, a type of apron worn by the high priest. Uzziel was also responsible for the maintenance of the Tabernacle and its furnishings.
