The story of Zadok

Zadok was a priest in the Bible, famous for his role as a high priest in the time of King David and King Solomon. He was one of the sons of Ahitub and was a descendant of Eleazar, the son of Aaron, the first high priest. Zadok was known for his loyalty to King David and was appointed as the high priest by David, replacing Abiathar who was loyal to King Saul. Zadok remained a high priest throughout the reign of King Solomon and was considered to be a righteous man. He is remembered in the Bible as an important figure in the history of Israel's priesthood.
