Zimri was a biblical figure from the Old Testament. He was the son of Salu, a member of the tribe of Simeon. He is best known for his role in the rebellion against King Elah of Israel. In the ninth century BC, Zimri led a revolt against Elah, the king of Israel. He killed Elah and seized the throne for himself. However, the revolt was short-lived, as the army of Omri, the commander of the army of Israel, quickly defeated Zimri and his forces. Zimri then committed suicide by setting fire to the palace. Zimri had no siblings, but he was the father of two sons, Baasha and Elah. Baasha would later become king of Israel, and Elah would become king of Judah. Zimri is best known for his role in the rebellion against King Elah of Israel. He is remembered as a brave leader who was willing to risk his life in order to overthrow a corrupt ruler. His legacy is one of courage and determination in the face of adversity.
