Commentary

Mark 12 is a chapter that focuses on Jesus' teachings and interactions with the religious leaders of the day. In this chapter, Jesus is asked a series of questions by the religious leaders in an attempt to trap him. Jesus responds to each question with wisdom and insight, often turning the question back on the questioner. He speaks of the importance of loving God and loving one's neighbor, and of the importance of paying taxes to Caesar. He also speaks of the resurrection of the dead, and of the greatest commandment.
