Edrei is the name of two towns in the Bible. The better-known Edrei is a city in Bashan, east of the Jordan, belonging to the kingdom of Og king of Bashan.

Og and all his people come out to fight Israel at Edrei (Numbers 21:33; Deuteronomy 3:1), and he is described as dwelling at Ashtaroth and at Edrei (Deuteronomy 1:4; Joshua 12:4). Deuteronomy names Salchah and Edrei as limits of Og's cities in Bashan taken by Israel (Deuteronomy 3:10). Joshua records that Moses struck Og, a remnant of the giants, who had reigned in Ashtaroth and Edrei (Joshua 13:12).
Edrei, together with Ashtaroth and half of Gilead, is then assigned to half of the families of Machir the son of Manasseh (Joshua 13:31). A second Edrei is a town listed with Kedesh and Enhazor (Joshua 19:37), part of the list of fortified cities given to the tribe of Naphtali west of the Jordan.
