The story of Uzziah

Uriah was a Hittite soldier and a husband of Bathsheba in the Old Testament. According to the Bible, he was a faithful and loyal soldier in King David's army. However, King David committed adultery with Bathsheba and arranged for Uriah to be killed in battle to cover up the affair. Uriah's death led to a chain of events that resulted in the punishment of King David by God. The story of Uriah is recorded in the Second Book of Samuel, Chapter 11.
