Commentary
Exodus 27 is a chapter that focuses on the construction of the tabernacle, the place of worship for the Israelites. The Lord instructs Moses to build the tabernacle with acacia wood and overlay it with gold. He also instructs Moses to make a courtyard around the tabernacle with curtains of fine linen and hang a gate of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn. The Lord also commands Moses to make an altar of acacia wood and overlay it with bronze. He also instructs Moses to make a laver of bronze and its base of bronze.
