14And that she increased her whoredoms: for when she saw men pourtrayed upon the wall, the images of the Chaldeans pourtrayed with vermilion,
15Girded with girdles upon their loins, exceeding in dyed attire upon their heads, all of them princes to look to, after the manner of the Babylonians of Chaldea, the land of their nativity:
16And as soon as she saw them with her eyes, she doted upon them, and sent messengers unto them into Chaldea.
17And the Babylonians came to her into the bed of love, and they defiled her with their whoredom, and she was polluted with them, and her mind was alienated from them.
About Ezekiel 23: The Unfaithful Sisters

In Ezekiel 23, the prophet receives a vision from God about two sisters, Oholah and Oholibah, who represent the kingdoms of Israel and Judah. Both sisters have committed adultery and idolatry, forsaking their covenant with God. God expresses his anger and judgment against them, and they will face destruction and captivity as a result of their actions.
Commentary
Ezekiel 23 is a powerful and graphic portrayal of God’s judgment against the unfaithfulness of his people. The vivid language and imagery used to describe the sisters' sin and punishment illustrates the depth of the offense committed. The chapter also emphasizes God’s unwavering justice and righteousness, and serves as a warning to those who would turn away from him. It reveals the consequences of disobedience and the importance of remaining faithful to God’s covenant. Despite the harsh tone of this chapter, it ultimately points to a God who desires restoration and redemption for his people, even in the midst of their rebellion.
