Context: Genesis 2
4These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,
5And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.
6But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.
7And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
8And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.
About Genesis 2: Separation of Light and Darkness

God creates man and woman, and places them in a beautiful garden called Eden. He tells them they can eat from any tree in the garden except one tree. They were not supposed to eat from that tree.
Commentary
Genesis chapter 2 is the second chapter of the book of Genesis in the Bible. It is the second of five books of the Torah, and it is the first book of the Bible's Old Testament. In this chapter, God creates the world and all of its inhabitants.
The chapter begins with God resting on the seventh day after creating the world. He then creates man from the dust of the ground and breathes life into him. God then places man in the Garden of Eden and gives him instructions to tend to the garden and not to eat from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.
