About Genesis 29: Jacob Meets Rachel

Jacob works for seven years to marry Leah, but is deceived by her father Laban and marries Rachel as well. He works for another seven years to be able to marry Rachel.
Commentary
Genesis 29 is the story of Jacob's journey to Haran to find a wife. After a long journey, he arrives at a well and meets Rachel, the daughter of Laban, his mother's brother. Jacob falls in love with Rachel and agrees to work for Laban for seven years in exchange for her hand in marriage.
