About Genesis 31: Jacob's Flight from Laban

Jacob runs away from Laban with his family and possessions. Laban pursues him but they make a covenant and part as friends.
Commentary
Genesis 31 is the story of Jacob's return to his homeland of Canaan after a long period of exile in the land of Laban. After a long and difficult journey, Jacob is reunited with his family and is welcomed back with open arms.
