Context: Mark 13
33Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
34For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
35Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
36Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.
37And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.
About Mark 13: Signs of the End Times

Jesus predicts the destruction of the temple and the end of the world.
Commentary
Mark 13 is a chapter that speaks to the end times and the coming of the Son of Man. Jesus is speaking to his disciples about the signs that will precede his return. He warns them of false prophets, wars, and natural disasters that will occur before his return. He also tells them that they will be persecuted and even killed for their faith. Jesus encourages them to remain steadfast and to not be afraid. He promises that he will return and that those who endure to the end will be saved.
