Commentary
Mark 8 is a pivotal chapter in the Gospel of Mark, as it marks the beginning of Jesus' journey to Jerusalem and his eventual death. In this chapter, Jesus begins to reveal to his disciples the truth of his identity and mission. He performs a miraculous feeding of the four thousand, and then warns his disciples against the leaven of the Pharisees and Herod.
