The story of Absalom
Absalom was the son of King David of Israel, born in Jerusalem. He was famous for rebelling against his father, which ultimately led to his downfall. Absalom had three sons, but all three died during the rebellion. He was known for his long hair and was considered very handsome. Absalom was eventually killed in battle by David's commander, Joab, and was buried in a pit in the forest of Ephraim. The exact date of his death is unknown, but he is believed to have died in his late 30s or early 40s.
