Joshua allocates the land of Canaan by lot to the remaining tribes.
Commentary
Joshua 18 is the chapter in which the Israelites divide the land of Canaan among the tribes of Israel. This chapter is a reminder of the faithfulness of God in fulfilling His promises to the Israelites. After the death of Moses, Joshua was appointed by God to lead the Israelites into the Promised Land. He was faithful to God's command and led the Israelites in conquering the land of Canaan.
