Jesus teaches the Parable of the Good Samaritan and sends out the seventy-two.
Commentary
Luke 10 is a chapter that speaks to the power of Jesus' ministry and the importance of spreading the gospel. In this chapter, Jesus sends out seventy-two of his disciples to preach the gospel and heal the sick. He instructs them to go out two by two and to take nothing with them but a staff and sandals. He tells them that they will be welcomed in some places and rejected in others, but that they should not be discouraged.
