Jesus teaches about repentance and performs more miracles.
Commentary
Luke 13 is a chapter that speaks to the importance of repentance and the consequences of not doing so. Jesus begins by warning the people of Jerusalem that they must repent or they will perish. He then tells a parable about a fig tree that has not produced fruit for three years. The owner of the tree wants to cut it down, but the gardener pleads for it to be given one more year to bear fruit. Jesus uses this parable to illustrate the importance of repentance and the consequences of not doing so.
