About Matthew 2: The Visit of the Magi

Wise men visit Jesus, and King Herod orders all boys under 2 years old in Bethlehem to be killed.
Commentary
Matthew 2 is a chapter that focuses on the birth of Jesus and the events that followed. It begins with the wise men from the East coming to Jerusalem to ask where the newborn king of the Jews was. King Herod was troubled by this news and asked the chief priests and scribes to tell him where the Messiah was to be born. They told him Bethlehem, as it was prophesied in the Old Testament. Herod then sent the wise men to Bethlehem to find the child and bring him back to him.
