Commentary
In Numbers 19, the Lord gives instructions to Moses and Aaron regarding the purification of those who have come in contact with a dead body. The Lord instructs Moses and Aaron to take a red heifer without blemish, and to slaughter it outside the camp. The blood of the heifer is to be sprinkled seven times before the Lord, and its ashes are to be kept for the purification of the people.
