About Psalms 16: In You Alone I Trust

In Psalm 16, David expresses a deep trust in God as his refuge and the source of all his blessings. Despite the dangers and temptations around him, David declares that he will not be shaken because he has set the Lord always before him. He acknowledges that God is the only one who can truly satisfy and assures himself that God will never abandon him.
Commentary
Psalm 16 reminds us that our trust in God should not waver despite the challenges we face. David's confidence in God stems from a close relationship with Him, as he makes God his constant companion and source of guidance. David's declaration that he will not be moved also echoes the words of the prophet Isaiah, who encouraged the faithful to trust in the Lord forever because He is an everlasting rock. Today, we can take comfort in these same promises, knowing that God is always with us and will never leave or forsake us.
