Context: Romans 3
16Destruction and misery are in their ways:
17And the way of peace have they not known:
18There is no fear of God before their eyes.
19Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
20Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
About Romans 3: All Have Sinned and Fall Short of the Glory of God

Paul teaches that all people are sinful and that they need salvation through faith in Jesus.
Commentary
Romans 3 is a powerful chapter that speaks to the power of God's grace and mercy. Paul begins by asking a rhetorical question: "What advantage then has the Jew?" He then answers his own question by stating that the Jews have been given the privilege of being entrusted with the oracles of God. This is a reminder that God has chosen the Jews to be His people and to be the recipients of His divine revelation.
