Commentary
Joshua 19 is the second of two chapters that describe the division of the Promised Land among the twelve tribes of Israel. This chapter begins with a list of the seven remaining tribes that were to receive their inheritance. The tribes of Judah, Simeon, and Benjamin had already been given their inheritance in the previous chapter. The remaining seven tribes are Issachar, Zebulun, Asher, Naphtali, Manasseh, Ephraim, and Dan.
