Commentary

Genesis 46 is the account of Jacob and his family's journey to Egypt. After being instructed by God to go to Egypt, Jacob and his family set out on their journey. Along the way, Jacob stops at Beersheba and offers sacrifices to God. He then receives a vision from God, reassuring him that he and his family will be safe in Egypt.
